The fee is $190 (for LCPCs) and $170 (for LPCs and Counseling Interns) for your first two appointments for intake and assessment.

The fee is $165 (for LCPCs) and $145 (for LPC’s and Counseling Interns) for each follow up session.

We are able to accept debit and credit cards, as well as payments from flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.

Insurance Accepted for Psychotherapy
We are in-network with BCBS PPO and Blue Choice PPO plans. We are also happy to submit claims to out-of-network providers on your behalf.

How Do I Know If I’m Covered for Your Services?
You can verify your eligibility and benefits by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. Some questions to ask are, “What are my outpatient mental health benefits?”, “Do I have a co-pay, co-insurance, or deductible for outpatient mental health services?”, and “Are there any limits or authorizations required?”

Your exact coverage and the amount you will owe cannot be confirmed until a claim has been filed and processed by your insurance provider. Please note that not all services may be covered by insurance. This includes, but is not limited to, wellness workshops, and music therapy.
Estimate of Benefits
When you provide us with your insurance information, we can look into an Estimate of Benefits for you. Please note that this is just an estimate of your benefits and does not guarantee your insurance will cover services. Additional costs and fees may apply after the claim is submitted to your insurance provider, based on your individual plan. If for some reason they reject the claim or decide not to cover services in full, you will be responsible for the remaining balance.

We encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to confirm your benefits, and review and understand the terms of your health insurance plan. You are responsible for the payment of your therapy services and services not covered by your insurance.

Cancelation Policy
Please give 24 hours notice when needing to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Any canceled or rescheduled appointments with less than 24 hours notice, as well as no shows/no calls, are subject to a cancellation fee of your full session/service fee. Arriving more than 10 minutes late for a session is considered a missed appointment and is also subject to a cancellation fee of your full session/service fee. These missed sessions/services are not billable to your insurer.

common questions

There is no one size fits all answer to this question! In your initial session, your therapist will get to know you and your goals, and tailor an approach to your needs. This might include talking about your current experiences and your past, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, developing new habits, engaging in creative self-expression, and many, many more options. With your therapist, you will explore the many layers of your experience and what makes you–you!

Typical sessions are 53 minutes long. However, your therapist will talk to you about what may be best in your situation, and may recommend a different session length based on your needs.

  • For your first two appointments of intake and assessment, the fee is $190 for LCPCs, and $170 for LPCs and Clinical Interns.
  • For follow-up 53-minute sessions, the fee is $165 for LCPCs and $145 for LPCs and Clinical Interns.

If you would like to use your insurance, we can assist you with an estimate of benefits to understand your coverage and your possible out-of-pocket cost. You may also use a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account for therapy services.

We are in-network with BCBS PPO and Blue Choice PPO plans. We are also happy to submit claims to other out-of-network PPO insurance providers on your behalf.
For HMO plans, we will provide you with a receipt, called a Super Bill, that you may submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement based on your specific plan’s benefits. We encourage you to call your insurance provider for details regarding this option. You may also use a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account for therapy services.

Creative art therapies include art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, dance/movement therapy, and poetry therapy. Credentialed creative arts therapists meet industry standards and requirements for their respective creative arts therapy disciplines, including extensive coursework and clinical training. Therapists trained in each of these creative modalities use a combination of verbal counseling (“talk therapy”) and creative expression to facilitate the healing process.

Creative arts therapies can help quiet your mind and support you in connecting to other parts of your experience. This can help you understand yourself or your situation in new ways. You can also learn some concrete tools to help you highlight your strengths and have in-the-moment resources you can use at home.

When beginning therapy, your therapy sessions often take place once a week as you and your therapist get to know each other and create a plan of how to work together. Sometimes your personal situation may benefit from a different level of support. Your therapist can offer recommendations for what may work best, and will work with you to find a regular frequency.

Unlike physical therapy, psychotherapy has no prescribed number of sessions.

Some people enter therapy to work on a specific problem and then stop therapy when that problem resolves. Many people prefer ongoing, long-term support from a therapist every week. You and your therapist will work together, considering your needs and situation, to determine when it is best to reduce the frequency of your sessions, stop therapy, or keep going for long-term benefits.

Finding the right fit in a therapist is important. You should feel like you can be yourself with your therapist, and feel like they understand you and that you can trust them. When looking for a new therapist, a good place to start is by thinking about what topics you would like to address in therapy, what challenges you would like to face, or what differences you would like to see in your life when therapy is successful.

Our therapists are trained counselors and offer “talk therapy”, but can also make suggestions on additional creative ways to address your needs. If painting, dance/movement, music, or mindfulness are tools you would like to explore, we can pair you with a therapist to guide you through those creative processes. Share your desires with our intake coordinator, and they can help you identify options that may be a good fit for you.

Discretion and privacy are important as you share personal and sensitive information in therapy. Everything you say in therapy is confidential and is not disclosed without your written permission, with a few exceptions. This includes in response to a subpoena or in cases of possible harm to yourself or someone else. Additionally, your therapist is a mandated reporter, meaning that they have the obligation to report suspicion or knowledge of child abuse, elder abuse, or the abuse of a person with a disability. More detailed information is available in our Practice Policies and Informed Consent form.

When using health insurance for therapy services, your diagnosis, dates of service, and other information may be shared with third-party payers to the extent it is required to obtain reimbursement for the services.

First, complete our contact form. Our intake coordinator will then reach out to you to gather more information about your needs and desires for support, availability, and scheduling, as well as insurance and billing-related information. They will gather this information via a secure email form or phone call, and based on your preferred method(s) of communication. They can answer your questions and will support you throughout the intake process.

Second, confirm an appointment. Our intake coordinator will help you choose the best therapist match for you. If needed, our intake coordinator can also offer additional referrals that may help you in this time.

After confirming your appointment time, our intake coordinator will send you an email with details to access our secure and confidential client portal where you can easily complete all our forms online.
